THE LABOUR LIFE GROUP exists for all Labour Party members and supporters campaigning within the rules and constitution of the party for the restoration of the natural rights of the pre-born baby.
A call was made for patients in "PVS" to be given lethal injections in order that their organs may be removed for transplant operations, before they deteriorate due to the withdrawal of nourishment. The proposal came from a group of doctors and lawyers called the "International Forum for Transplant Ethics". (Daily Telegraph 1.11.97.)
Dr. Richard Nicholson, editor of the Bulletin on Medical Ethics, said "voluntary euthanasia should be an essential part of any societies way of coping with old age and death" (Daily Telegraph, 24.6.97., in ALERT Euthanasia update , Summer 1997).
A just society protects its weakest members. It cherishes the disabled and unborn. It values its aged section for the contribution made to society. It treats all human beings as equal, regardless of sex, race, creed, wealth, size or age.
